Horace Deets, Chairman of the Board
Horace Deets served as Executive Director of AARP from 1988 to 2001 and designed and implemented a major expansion in the products and services offered to AARP members. Under his guidance, AARP’s annual revenues exceeded half a billion dollars, membership grew by 6 million people and the offices were opened in every state and territory. He currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Help Age International, is a Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Age Lab and a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University’s Institute of Ageing, and serves on the Boards of Posit Science Corporation and Sunrise Assisted Living at Home.
Chris Michalik, Director
Chris Michalik is currently a Managing Director at Kinderhook Industries. He brings to Longevity relevant investment experience in healthcare services, consumer products, information services and business services. From 1999 through 2003, Chris was a partner at Soros Private Equity Partners, a multi-billion dollar leveraged buyout fund sponsored by George Soros. Chris was previously an investment manager with Capital Resource Partners, a middle market growth mezzanine investment firm based in Boston, and an associate at Colony Capital, a real estate investment firm based in Los Angeles. Chris began his career as an M&A analyst at Salomon Brothers, Inc. Chris graduated from Yale University and received his MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School. Chris also serves on the Board of Directors of Wellcare Group, Inc., Notification Technologies, Inc. and Media Solution Services LLC, and is the Chairman of NACT Telecommunications, Inc.
Ravi Yadav, Director
Ravi Yadav is a partner in the private equity group of Soros Fund Management, a multi-billion dollar investment firm. Previously, he was founder and Managing Partner of Sunaria Group, LLC, a boutique investment company, and a vice-president at Warburg Pincus, LLC, a multi-billion private equity fund. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
